Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is offered in 50-minute or 100-minute sessions, depending on the needs of the client. In order to accomplish your therapeutic goals, I implement a client-centered approach utilizing evidence-based techniques and therapeutic interventions. My approach includes techniques from several modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Experiential Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Reintegrative therapies, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Family Therapy
Family therapy is offered in 50-minute or 100-minute sessions, depending on the needs of the family. In order to achieve sustained change, the entire family system often needs to be involved in the therapeutic process. By implementing a systemic therapeutic approach, I work with families to identify negative patterns of functioning perpetuated by insecure attachments, dysfunctional family role assignments, and unmet expectations in a safe and secure space. Changing the systems functioning allows for achieving overall health and thriving for the family as a whole.
*When working with teenagers, family therapy sessions are strongly encouraged on 4-6 week schedule in order to keep parents involved in the therapy process for their adolescents and to facilitate full family growth.
Trauma Therapy / EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an empirically validated psychotherapeutic intervention used to treat the adverse effects of traumatic experiences. By utilizing bilateral stimulation, EMDR activates the brain's natural adaptive information processing system allowing the brain to reprocess and desensitize to traumatic memories.

Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is offered in 50-minute or 100-minute sessions, depending on the needs of the couple. However, initial couples sessions are recommended to begin at 100-minutes in duration. I utilize Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) techniques and work from an attachment based theoretical approach to assist couples in identifying negative cycles of functioning that perpetuate conflict in the relationship. I offer intensive weekly sessions (100-minutes weekly) for couples in crisis (infidelity, addictions, etc.)
*I am a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, which allows me to provide structured pre-marital counseling services to engaged couples.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe that secure and safe connection is an agent of healing. We are all created with deep needs and desires for connection, intimacy, vulnerability, and safety. When any of those essential components of the human experience are broken or entangled with trauma, it can cause dysfunction in our systems and remove health and thriving from our lives. However, it is possible to redeem, restore, and recapture our minds, hearts, and bodies and reclaim health. When clients are able to process their hardest hurts and wounds within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, healing can happen!
I work from an attachment based and trauma informed approach to therapy, which emphasizes the importance of secure, healthy, safe relationships from infancy through adulthood and acknowledges the reality that we all will be faced with traumatic experiences which deeply impact our functioning and view of the world. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that our system, or closest relationships, have a deep impact on our health and functioning. If we can work to create healthy systems, we can break intergenerational chains of trauma, pain, and wounds.
